Andy Simescu has joined Sandia Lab Federal Credit Union(SLFCU) as the organization's Chief People Officer. With more than 25 years in financial services, Andy brings a breadth of experience with a focus on building more strategic, human-centered organizations. His extensive leadership background will be critical as SLFCU continues to focus on transforming the member experience and making banking better across the Southwest.

As the Chief People Officer, Andy will lead talent acquisition, employee engagement & culture, and organizational learning & development. He will be instrumental in positioning SLFCU as a top employer where talent can develop and thrive as the credit union executes against its long-term strategy as the economic engine of the Southwest.

Throughout his career, Andy has been committed to creating diverse, inclusive, high-performance workplaces that foster positive cultures and thriving employees. Most recently, he was Senior Vice President of Engagement and Development at Wellby Financial, a Houston, TX-based credit union, where he operationalized culture as a catalyst for purpose and strategy while amplifying engagement, problem-solving, and can-do mindsets for sustainable results.
